Associate Professor at the University College of the North in the Pas
I grew up and received my education in Treaty 6 territory, in the area of the 1885 Metis resistance. That education was notably deficient in its treatment of the Treaty and the Metis
I attended the University of Saskatchewan graduating with an LLB in 1980
I practised law from 1984-2001.
In September 2001 I began teaching Canadian Native Law as a sessional instructor at Brandon University eventually becoming an assistant professor.
Since 2012 I have been an Associate Professor at the University College of the North in the Pas. It is in that capacity, inter alia, that I have participated in the Onikaniwak Summer Institute.
