Ko’ona Cochrane

Ko’ona is an Anishinaabe-kwe member of the Bizhiw doodem (Lynx Clan) from Peguis First Nation. She has resided in the North End of Winnipeg since 2004, where she works to strengthen and support indigenous families and children through health promotion, indigenous issues, community development in addition to providing cultural programs and supportive services. Ko’ona has been sharing her indigenous teachings for over twenty years, primarily through traditional family parenting education and hand drumming.
