Lawyer and Senior Executive with Over 35 years of Experience in both the Private and Public Sectors
David Langtry joined the CHRC in 2006. He served as Deputy Chief Commissioner from 2007 to present, as Acting Chief Commissioner from 2010 to 2015, and as President of CASHRA, the Canadian Association of Statutory Human Rights Agencies, from June 2013 to June 2015. David works closely with other human rights commissions both in Canada and around the world.
David is an accomplished lawyer and senior executive with more than 35 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. Previously in his career, he was Assistant Deputy Minister for Child and Family Services and as Executive Director of the Multiculturalism Secretariat in his home province of Manitoba.
