Andrew Woolford is professor of sociology at the University of Manitoba and president of the International Association of Genocide Scholars. He is author of ‘This Benevolent Experiment’: Indigenous Boarding Schools, Genocide and Redress in the United States and Canada (2015, co-published by University of Nebraska Press and University of Manitoba Press). He is co-editor of Colonial Genocide in Indigenous North America (2014, Duke) and The Idea of a Human Rights Museum (2015, University of Manitoba Press). He also co-edited (with Jeff Benvenuto) a 2015 special issue of the Journal of Genocide Research on “Colonial Genocide in Canada”.
